CSG Successfully Completes Tuvalu Land Reclaimation Project

September 2015:  CSG has recently successfully wrapped-up its support to the NZ MFAT/Calibre Consulting  project to dredge sand from the lagoon at Funafuti Island, Tuvalu to replace the material taken from the 10 borrow pits used by the Allies to construct the WW2 airstrip.

The reclaimation has re-established almost 9% of the total landmass of Funafuti.

CSG has been intimately involved in the project since Sep 2014 when it conducted a detailed Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) Risk Assessment and followed-up with liaison with the dredging contractor, various government authorities and Calibre to establish the project then provided on-site monitoring and technical advice in the initial phases of the project.

Congratulations to Calibre and everyone else associated with this very successful project.
